Meet Alyssa,

founder of Canine Compass.

Having grown up with dogs and with extensive experience fostering and rescuing dogs, she specialises in solving dog behavioural issues as well as general obedience in all breeds and mixes thereof.

Alyssa is passionate about helping people better understand their dog, helping them build a partnership together. Teaching people how to create the change they desire. How to see the ‘good [rewardable] stuff’.

How to live well with their dog.

She does this through a kind and practical approach so that both human and dog can develop a strong and long lasting relationship.

Alyssa’s approach is to teach the dog appropriate actions and behaviour. Focussing on teaching the dogs how to use their own brain to solve problems and control their own outcomes in a desirable way.

Alyssa is qualified and accredited by the National Dog Trainers Federation, graduating in 2011. She continues her education, attending seminars, online tutorials and reading on a daily basis.
